GAUCHOS!

This weekend was the holiday celebrating the Gaucho General Martin Miguel de Guemes in Salta.  Gauchos from all over the country came to pay homage to the general.  AKA Salta was hoppin!

On Thursday evening, we dressed as gauchos and went to a folklore festival in a town nearby.


We heard El Chaqueno Palavecina:

On Friday we went to the parade, where they presented over 2,000 gauchos.




On Friday night there were free concerts all evening.  We saw Los Guitarreros and Jorge Rojas.

    me alegro que hayan presenciado un recital de uno de los artistas y canta-autores mas importantes de nuestra tierra como Jorge Rojas!
